some 700, including state department colleagues, friends and family are expected. mayor lee will address the crowd. >> it is very appropriate we celebrate his life what he tried to do as an ambassador and -- in one of the hardest regions today. >> reporter: the attack that killed stevens and three other americans has become a political hot button issue finger pointing has intensified since the state department acknowledged the attack was a coordinated assault. hillary clinton is saying the buck tops with her. >> i take responsibility, i'm in charge of the state department, 60,000 plus all over the world, 275 posts. the president and the vice president wouldn't be knowledgeable about specific decisions that are made by security professionals. >> reporter: the memorial service will be followed by a reception, public is invited

coast guard is searching the waters off half moon bay for a small plane. arizona but did not show up for a scheduled fuel stop in apple valley the pilot's wife reported the plane missing orange single engine tail number n 72 ah. the coast guard says the search will extent 20 miles south from where the plane took off at half moon bay.

the plane is registered to a florida man but it is not immediately clear where it was flying. firefighters still looking for a cause at are early morning fire at san carlo that damaged a restaurant supply business and threatened a 24 hour gym. the fire broke out after midnight it went to three alarms. 24 hour fitness gym next door was evacuated for two hours no one was injured. investigators state fire appears to have been an accident. one man fighting for his life after what police say was a street fight in the mission district early this among. officers responded to reports of the fight at valencia and 16th streets at 2 a.m. they phone the man unresponsive on the ground. witnesses say seven people took part in the brawl, two were hospitalized one man in critical. police say it is still unclear why the fight broke out. so far no arrests. santa rosa police are searching for whoever shot a
